Summer Candle Guide

Guys, I’m really stoked about this candle lineup. They are seriously so yummy and bright. Also, I’m writing this from Florida where I’m feeling all the summery vibes so much, especially since I may have brought one of my summer candles with me.

Fresh Meyer Lemon by Paddywax

Notes: meyer lemon, geranium, tangerine + honeydew Size: 8oz Price: $23

I’m normally not drawn to sweet smelling candles, but this candle smells SO good. Did any of y’all eat those sugar coated lemon drop candies growing up? This candle seriously takes me back to my childhood and popping these in my mouth at my grandparent’s house.

Its sugary and citrus-y and makes me feel energized and happy. I love to burn it in the kitchen after cooking. Plus, I’m a total sucker for this vintage style glass jar.

Gardener by Boy Smells

Notes: tomato, petigrain, white tea + honeysuckle Size: 3 oz Price: $16

Gardening is one of my favorite hobbies and tomatoes are my favorite vegetable to grow, so when I saw this scent I knew I needed it. If you like earthy scents this one is for you.

You can get this votive size in this trio like I did with Ash and Cedar Stack (two of my other fav Boy Smells candles. Read more about what I think about them here and here). I’m forever in love with this candle brand. Can you tell??

Neroli and Sea Salt by Madewell

Notes: Bergamot, petigrain, neroli, orange flower + sea salt Size: 3oz Burn Time: 20 hrs Price: $14

If you just got back from a beach vacation and are missing those beachy feels or you’re watching every one on Instagram on their beach vacations and you’re stuck at home and wish you were at the beach, then you need this candle.

It seriously smells like the beach! I don’t really think of salt as having a smell, but it smells salty and orangey. I’m kicking myself for not getting the bigger size of this candle. But seriously, burn this candle in the bath, close your eyes and feel the waves, hear the seagulls and smell the ocean.

Peony + Patchouli by Paddywax

Notes: bergamot, nutmeg, lime, geranium, peony, amber, cedar, rosewood, patchouli, musk + sandalwood Price: $17

Every summer I look forward to seeing peonies pop up in the grocery stores. They are one of my favorite flowers and always make summer feel real. When I bought this candle, I already had peonies in my cart. This candle has a gentle floral peony scent, but is rounded out by my favorite hippie smell – patchouli.

Pineapple Crush by Tyler Candle Company

Notes: Pineapple Size: Votive Burn Time: 15 hours Price: $3

This candle only lists pineapple as the note, but I don’t think that fully expresses how delicious this smells. Think of warm sweet pineapple upside down cake that just came out of the oven. This candle is heaven. I smelled this candle back when I was babysitting and had to go buy the candle the next day.

I love these candles because I can buy them as votives and put them into what ever pretty vessel or vase I want like this pink one. But if votives aren’t your thing you can get a full size too.

Well there you have it. At first I wasn’t sure if I could talk about candles for four straight seasons, but then I laughed at myself cause I knew all too well that I definitely could. Hope you and your nose liked it.

Cheers to candles and warm sunny days,
