How to Become a Flower – AKA 10 of My Favorite Floral Scented Products

Ok ok maybe I can’t turn you into a flower, but I sure can help you smell like one! I live for spring and summer blooms and I hear “you can learn a lot of things from the flowers, for especially in the month of June” so, this June I’m sharing 10 of my favorite floral scented products with you. Oh and a clip from one of my favorite childhood movies because it’s got singing flowers and who doesn’t like singing flowers πŸ™‚

1. Honeysuckle + Rose Soap by Soap Girl

Flower Notes: Honeysuckle + Rose

With this soap you can literally “shower” yourself with sweet scented deliciousness. Not only does this soap smell like flowers, it actually has flowers on the top! Flower win! It’s made by a Dallas local and I find it at my Whole Foods.

2. R & B Hair Moisturizer by Lush

Flower Notes: Orange Blossom + Jasmine

This hair moisturizer smells like summer in a jar. I apply it to my wet hair as a leave in conditioner and heat protectant. And you don’t need much, even a small sample size pot like this one will last you much longer than your standard bouquet.

3. Lavender Multi-Surface Cleaner by Mrs. Meyers

Flower Notes: Lavender

Ok this one technically isn’t for your body, but we’re really trying to lay the flowers on thick and so we better cover all our bases including our homes! I actually look forward to cleaning with this cleaner and love that it leaves a lingering lavender scent.

4. Flower’s Barrow Bath Oil by Lush

Flower Notes: Geranium, Rose, Chamomile + Gardenia

Throw this in your bath to stop and smell the roses…. and the geranium, chamomile and gardenia too! This may be a small little ball, but its jam packed with flowers and real petals. Plus, when you get out of your bath not only will you smell like a field of flowers, you’ll skin will be soft and silky like a flower petal.

5. Lavender Vanilla Cleansing Oil by Era Organics

Flower Notes: Lavender

This cleansing facial oil is a new favorite that my mom introduced me to recently. I’ve been a fan of oil cleansers for a bit now, but this one smells amazing, uses mostly certified organic ingredients and is budget friendly.

6. Jasmine Garden Face Mist by May Lindstorm

Flower Notes: Jasmine, Rose + Ylang Ylang

This one is so luxurious and I’ve been out for a while because it is a little pricey, but I promise you, if you have the money to spare, its a skin hydrating miracle. It smells like floral heaven mixed with decadent vanilla and cocoa. Spritz on your face before applying facial oils or whenever your skin needs a little refresher. Not only will it help your skin stay hydrated, but the colloidal silver helps with acne.

7. Rose Facial Polish by French Girl

Flower Notes: Rose

This definitely smells like roses, but it also has an earthy scent to it from the rice. I love that this facial polish is so fine. The texture gently “polishes” as the name implies, rather than roughly scrubbing and injuring the skin like many scrubs do. Also, it turns a beautiful deep pink when you moisten it. Here’s a little tip for really happy skin: add oil to it (like the cleansing oil in number five) to wet it instead of water. Spa days at home just got better.

8. The One Perfume by Dolce + Gabbana

Flower Notes: Bergamot, Lilly, Muguet + Jasmine

I mean this post wouldn’t be complete without a perfume. There’s many to choose from, but this one is beautiful, lightly sweet and warm. It’s my favorite summer time perfume and I feel so feminine when I wear it.

9. Orchid Facial Oil by Herbivore Botanicals

Flower Notes: Orchid + Jasmine

Ya’ll might already be familiar with this oil if you read my post on facial oils, but this oil is SO good. It’s good for your skin and makes you feel like you’ve walked through a jasmine bush. Win win.

10. Charity Pot Body Lotion by Lush

Flower Notes: Geranium + Ylang Ylang

This lotion is delicately scented and will leave your skin soft and nourished. But the benefits don’t stop there, 100% of the price goes to small grassroots organizations that help with environmental conservation, animal welfare and human rights. So go ahead a pick a pot that speaks to you, like this chicken pot spoke to me, and rub yourself down with flower scented goodness and know your helping the world while you do.

Ok well now you have no excuse not to smell like a yummy flower this spring. And if you need more flower scented things in your life check out the spring candle guide because they are loaded with floral notes.

Cheers to harnessing all that flower power,

“May we all be like wildflowers: vibrant, resiliant and always reaching for the light.” – Me
