We’re already in full spring over here and I couldn’t be happier about it. I’m spending more time outside with my chickens and in my garden, but when I’m inside I still want all those good spring vibes indoors too. So, cue the spring candles! For this spring candle guide I’ve put together a group of floral and earthy scents that I think you’ll love. And, I even have an opportunity for you to win one of these candles! Read more at the end of the post 🙂
Mokara by Voluspa
Notes: orchid, white lily + spring moss Size: 16oz Burn Time: 100 hr Price: $28
The candle that started it all for me. This was the first “nice” candle I ever bought myself. I smelled this candle burning in Anthropolgie the summer before I started nursing school. I bought it and saved its first light for when I moved into my first apartment by myself in Dallas. I also burned it the day I moved out of that apartment. Now when I burn it I’m reminded of spring/summer and my early twenties.
You might not feel quite so sentimental when you burn it, but your nose will be happy. It’s soft, sweet and floral in the best way.
Amber + Moss by P. F. Candle Co
Notes: moss, lavender, sage, lavandin, orange, amber + musk Size: 3.5oz Burn Time: 20hr Price: $15
I’m a big time fan of P.F. Candle Co and this is one of my favs from their line (you’ll see another one down below). This one is super cheery and bright. Even the small candle fills a space. Plus, the glass jar is pretty cute too.
This candle here is the mini (it’s the perfect small gift size), but it does also come in a standard and large size too.
Ash by Boy Smells
Notes: Firewood, smoke, charcoal, palo santo, hay + juniper berries Size: 8.5 oz Burn Time: 50 hours Price: $32
I first introduced ya’ll to this brand in my holiday candle post. And you may even see one in the summer guide, but they just make a damn good candle.
But as much as I love this candle, it smells different than I expected it too. I can see where they are coming from, but I originally bought this candle to try out thinking I would put it in the fall or holiday candle post. I thought it was going to smell super campfire-y, but it’s really light on the smoky fiery smell and smells more woods and earthy to me. And I’m not complaining, it just smelled different than I was expecting.
To me it smells of earth/dirt, moss, cedar wood, and rain. It reminds me kind of the way a forest trail smells in Oregon after its rained in spring. And if you know me, I love Oregon, forests and rain so this candle makes me pretty happy.
P.S. The candle listed here is a smaller votive candle that I got in this set, but I have the full size info listed above
Terra No. 3 Lavender by P.F. Candle Co
Notes: Bulgarian + English Lavender Size: 8 oz Burn Time: 45-55 hours Price: $30
This scent is pretty straight forward. It smells like heaven, I mean lavender. Same thing? I’m pretty picky when it comes to lavender smells, but they use plant derived fragrances and it smells like true lavender. I’ve always wanted to travel to a lavender farm, but this will have to do for now.
But guys, can we talk about how cute this candle is for a second? I try to reuse most of my candle jars for things already, but when you finish burning this candle you can repurpose the vessel as a pot for a plant.
How. Cute. Is. That?
Stay posted on my instagram and I’ll show you what cute little plant babe I put in it once I burn it.
Kush by Boy Smells
Notes: cannabis, suede, white musk, tulip, + amber Size: 8.5 oz Burn Time: 50 hours Price: $32
This candle is super green, bright and has a powdery floral note from the tulip. It is a strong candle and is perfect for a large space like a living room or large kitchen. I’m guessing its the cannabis note in this, but this candle smells extremely unique. This is my new favorite candle to burn while during chores. And don’t worry, while it may smell intoxicating, you won’t be 😉
P.S. This pink container is a limited edition and they are all sold out, but you can still get this scent in the original black glass jar with pink label like you see with the Ash candle listed earlier.
Well that’s a wrap. I hope your spring days are filled with flowers, time outside in the pretty weather and of course a pretty smelling spring candle. And for a chance to win one of these spring candles, enter the drawing on my Instagram post. The winner will get to pick their favorite candle from this spring candle guide!
Cheers,
