It’s Candle Season!!
Today I’m sharing five of my favorite fall candles with you and what I like about each one of them. Personally, I’m an all year round kind of candle girl, but there is just something extra special about lighting up a candle on a fall or winter day. It’s such an easy way to add some seasonal coziness to your home during these cooler, cloudier months. I tend to gravitate toward spicier, earthier scents and these fall candles totally deliver.
Baltic Amber Candle by Voluspa
Notes: amber resin, sandalwood + vanilla orchid Size: 16 oz Burn Time: 100 hr burn time Price: $28
I’ve included this in my “fall” list because it really does seem fitting for fall, but truth be told, I burn this candle year round. If I had to pick a signature scent for my house, it’d be this.
I’ve probably bought this candle over ten times. It’s that good! And although it definitely seems a little pricier for a candle, it burns so slowly!! Sometimes those more expensive candles end up costing you less than the cheaper ones when you look at price/burn time. At least that’s how I pitched it to my husband anyways!
Also, the jar is beautiful and looks even prettier when lit. I love to repurpose these pretty jars once I’ve used up all the wax. I’ve repurposed this one as a vase for fall flowers.
Spiced Cider Candle by Capri Blue
Notes: nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, apples + orange Size: 4.5 oz Burn Time: 25 hours Price: $12
I really like this one because it smells like it sounds, like you’re making spiced cider from scratch in your kitchen. They make a bigger size in this candle as well, but I love this cute tiny one. It would make a perfect hostess present for a Thanksgiving get together and I think it’s a scent that can transition over into the Christmas holidays as well.
And again, the jar is so cute (Anthropologie is totally wining at the candle game) and reusable! I’ve put tea lights in mine just to relive that glowy goodness that the jar makes with the gold paint, but it could also store little knick-knacks. I think when I burn through this one I’m going to use it to hold my q-tips in the bathroom!
Ruby Sangria Candle by Chesapeake Bay Candle
Notes: cherries, pomegranates + cinnamon Size: 16.9 oz Burn Time: 30 hours Price: $14.99
I love a good three-wick candle! This one is fruity but the cinnamon really rounds it out and keeps it from being too sweet. What I love about this one is how it really fills up the space. It does burn a little faster, but that’s to be expected with the three wicks. And although I’m totally a sucker for Anthropologie candles, I do love that this one is from Target because everyone has a target near them (as if we need another excuse to go to Target)! And… do I even need to tell you that I think the jar is pretty and you could totally re-purpose it… because it is and you could.
Hyde Candle by Jackson Vaughn
Notes: amber, black cardamom + charred resin Size: 14 oz Burn Time: 80 hours Price: $38
This is the most expensive candle on the list, but again, like the Voluspa candle, it burns slower. It’s got that minimalistic vibe going on and the scent is more on the earthy side. This candle seems to be popular with the men too.
It’s not listed as a note, but I definitely smell leather in this along with the other notes. This candle makes me think of a dimly lit study with old books and a fire burning in the fireplace. Cozy.
Jackson Vaughn candles are made in Texas and sold at the cutest candle shop in Dallas called Society. It’s a small shop, but it’s filled to the brim with candles and pretty match boxes!
Pumpkin Clove Candle by Capri Blue
Notes: creamy, buttery pumpkin, orange zest, ginger, clove + sweet vanilla Size: 8.5 oz Burn Time: 38 hours Price: $14
This one is the most “fall” candle of the bunch. I normally don’t love pumpkin scents, but this one smells SO good. It comes in other sizes and containers, but I thought this one was really cute with the little squash vines and flowers on it. This is another one that I think would make a really nice hostess or fall birthday gift. It’s a perfect Thanksgiving scent. I’ll be sad when I finish this one up.
As you can tell, I really like candles. They’re just such an easy way to add warmth and to bring the seasons into your home. I honestly light a candle (or two) every day, its even part of my morning ritual, and fall is no exception. So, go sniff some candles and bring some coziness to your day this fall.
Cheers,
